The Poly-Mag produces an extremely strong static magnetic fields making it ideal for MPI processes, being used as an underwater securing clamp and as a retrieval magnet. Permanent magnets by their nature tend to be inherently brittle and susceptible to impact damage, which is why the Poly-Mag is encapsulated in a polymer coating to significantly reduce the risk of breakages, abrasion damage and corrosion. This makes the Poly-Mag relatively robust and long lasting.
